Physical Distancing Shouldn't
Be Socially Isolating

Having to socially distance ourselves amid the Covid-19 pandemic may lead to increased feelings of loneliness and isolation, but there are plenty of ways to stay connected whilst protecting the health of yourself and your community.

On Friday, 1 May Neighbourhood Watch NT launched a new social connection campaign to encourage Territorians to stay connected whilst practicing physical distancing.

Advice within the campaign includes,
utilising the internet and online programs to spend time with family and friends, introducing yourself and connecting with neighbours, spending quality time with those in your household and checking in on vulnerable members of the community. The campaign, which includes three animated videos, will run on social media and across various television channels throughout the NT.

Neighbourhood Watch NT Executive Officer, Hannah Finbow said, “We think it’s really important that during these times, people continue to connect with their community to protect their mental and emotional health and build a stronger Territory together. We have already seen some wonderful demonstrations of community spirit and it’s great to see Territorians looking out for each other.”
Stop. Look. Lock.
Now that restrictions are lifting and we're  leaving the house more often, make sure you take the time to Stop. Look. Lock.

Stop. We know at times, life gets busy and we get distracted, but take a moment to...

Look. Check your surroundings and consider the security of your property and belongings and...

Lock. This is the most effective way to prevent theft.

Community Connection Award

Congratulations to Marita, the winner of our Community Connection Award!

The Community Connection Award was created to help recognise the incredible community contributions made by everyday Territorians. We received a high number of nominations and were blown away by the number of Territorians going out of their way to help others and increase community connection.

Three finalists, Marita, Don and Elspeth were chosen for their wonderful displays of community spirit and their embodiment of the Neighbourhood Watch NT values of Community, Respect and Action.

Safety Survey Results

We would like to thank all of our members and the wider community who took part in our Safety Survey.

We have evaluated the results from the 2019 Safety Survey and are excited to share our future projects and plans with you. These projects have been created based on your feedback and to meet the needs of the Territory community.
